Boy’s Scounts of America (BSA) Hybrid Wilderness First Aid

The Scouting America approved hybrid Wilderness First Aid program combines online learning with instructor-led skills training. Participants complete approximately 8 hours of online coursework followed by 8 hours of hands-on scenario-based skills practice and testing. This course meets many Scouting America high-adventure requirements and prepares scouts and leaders to manage medical emergencies in remote environments.

Wilderness First Aid

Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, camp staff, hunting guides, church youth leaders, scout leaders, and anyone who spends time in remote environments. Participants learn patient assessment, environmental emergencies, trauma management, wound care, evacuation decisions, and emergency care when professional medical assistance may be delayed by one hour or more.Developed in partnership with the Wilderness Medical Society.

Emergency Medical Response (EMR)

Emergency Medical Response (EMR) is a comprehensive first responder training program designed for individuals who may be first on the scene of an emergency. This course prepares participants to assess patients, provide lifesaving care, and assist Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel until advanced medical help arrives. Topics include patient assessment, airway management, oxygen administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) use, bleeding control, shock management, trauma emergencies, medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, and emergency childbirth. This program includes Basic Life Support (BLS), Administration of Emergency Oxygen (AEO), and Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) training.

CPR and AED

This course teaches CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants. Participants learn how to recognize cardiac arrest, provide effective chest compressions, operate an AED, and respond to choking emergencies. Meets OSHA and workplace safety requirements.

Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens

Provides training on identifying, preventing, and responding to exposure risks involving bloodborne and airborne pathogens. Topics include OSHA compliance, infection control practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), exposure reporting, and workplace safety procedures.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

Designed for healthcare professionals and students in healthcare programs. Participants learn high-quality CPR, team-based resuscitation, AED operation, airway management, and management of cardiac and respiratory emergencies. This course meets many healthcare employment and educational requirements.

Advanced First Aid, CPR, and AED

This advanced-level course is designed for workplace responders, industrial personnel, security professionals, and individuals who require more extensive emergency care training than standard first aid. Participants learn advanced first aid techniques, CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED use, bleeding control, tourniquet application, epinephrine administration, and management of medical and trauma emergencies.
